Pedsmrkt

Pedsmrkt is an amazing new project launched by Children's Mercy Hospital (CMH). It aims to be a marketplace for pediatricians to share their ideas and collaborate on projects. Pedsmrkt is a Shopify plus site with a very unique marketplace implementation. My team integrated Marketplacer with Shopify to allow CMH to onboard new vendors who can manage their own Catalogs and Orders through the connector. I had the priviledge of working with CMH all the way through the build process. We started with sitemap and wireframes, then moved through design and development.

Marketplacer Integration

We leveraged Marketplacer's Shopify connector for most of the integration in order to keep costs down and to get a MVP release out. We did build custom workflows for verifying new Customers and for extending the product data model within Shopify.

Custom Sections for Shopify Theme

We built a custom Shopify theme with custom sections to allow CMH to manage the content on the site. This was a great way to allow CMH to manage the content without having to learn Liquid or HTML. Shopify admins can now manage the content on most of their pages without developer support.

Customer Verification

CMH has specific business requirements around who is and is not allowed to make purcahses on the site. We built a custom workflow to allow CMH to verify new Customers before they are allowed to make purchases. This workflow includes a custom form and a custom Customer attributes. The verification workflow also entails verifying customer attributes with an external API.
